Yep, you read that right. I'm in Chicago!
I got some much needed time off work and decided to head on down to Chicago to catch the Cubs vs. Sox game. It's going to be awesome!
I spent 12 hours crammed in a car to get here on Wednesday and I'll spend another cramped 12 hours going back Monday afternoon. I really like it here, I'd stay longer for sure if I could. It's just beautiful.
The money is nice because when you buy something and get change you have a pocket full of dollars instead of a pocket full of stupid coins, I hate coins. The driving here is easier too, you can't get lost! The highways and exits are actually labeled properly unlike home where you have streets and exits all over the place with no signs so you just have to guess where you are. lol. There's no traffic either. You can drive on the interstate at the actual speed limit, not like going to Toronto where it's bumper to bumper the whole way. Don't get me wrong, I love living in Canada but I'll definitely be coming back to the U.S. to visit lots.
So seeing as how I am on vacation, I won't be updating for a while.....about a week or 2. Just thought I would share my news with everyone, I'm totally excited. lol.

Alright, so the shoot at the baseball game I was supposed to do finally happened! We actually got a day when it wasn't pouring rain, snowing or freezing cold. That's right, I said snowing. It's the middle of summer right now and one night I was at a game and what did I see? Little flakes of snow falling from the sky! I almost S**T my pants! haha.
I got some new filters in the mail last week but haven't been able to try them out yet as I've been bogged down at work lately. I'm on an 8 day stretch right now and won't have a day off until Tuesday. I hope it's nice out though so I can take my camera and try out my new goodies.
I don't really have much in the way of news, because I have been consumed with work, but I am planning a shoot (with a boy!) for the near future.

Hi everyone,
Hope you all had a great week, I know I had some good days!
Last week I mentioned being booked for 2 days for shooting. One of those days was just wonderful, went off without a hitch, although I did end up ankle deep in mud (it looked dry). That was the day I spent with Greg riding around and shooting his bike. His ride is so hot.......lol. Anyways, good times were had all around and I am now starting to upload some of the shots from that day, there are a few in my gallery already and more to come as I am still processing those photos.
The other shoot that I had booked for the Monday of that week got cancelled. We were rained out. Weather permitting I am scheduled to do it Tuesday this week instead. I hope the weather clears up soon so I can take my shooting outside, it's raining cats and dogs right now. There are puppies everywhere! But seriously though, I've been plauged with bad weather here for about a week and I don't know how much more I can take.

Hello everyone!
As you may have noticed, I haven't been around a lot lately and it's been ages since I uploaded anything. University and work got terribly busy for a stretch there and I didn't have the free time that I used to. Well, school is out for the summer and I decided not to take any summer semester classes so that I could spend all my time working and saving up some money. Hooray for work (cough, cough, sarcasm).

Anyways, on to the good news. I just got a new Canon for myself and I'm rather pleased with it. I have a shoot booked for tomorrow afternoon and another for Monday where I'll be shooting a baseball game and then the team photos. I'm excited. I'll be super busy though as all this shooting, editing and printing takes place during the "down time" I have away from my consulting job. I'll be glad to pack in as much shooting time as I can get though, because I really do love it.

I finally got my subscription back too so I'll be updating the journal on a regualr basis again with features and the like so keep an eye out to see if you're featured. I've been really busy going through all the items in my inbox, looking at your work, commenting and faving.
