Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs
Summer 2008

HDR image blended from 3 exposures taken at 2 EV increments

This is one of my favourite images, the clouds are so fluffy and they look almost surreal. It was a sight to behold. The Wrigley Field tour was amazing.

Great image! The HDR works perfectly here; so often HDR shots look unreal to me, but this is just clear and sharp and so effective...

I often struggle with HDR shots during post processing because I really want them to look realistic. For me, the point of an HDR image is to try and faithfully reproduce what the eye actually saw and bring out all the little details that sometimes get lost. It doesn't work for every image though and the ones that don't work never see the light of day. lol.

That makes perfect sense! And it's good to set such high standards around quality control of images. A good reputation is hard to build, but easy to destroy by letting so-so images through the net I guess...

Someday, I hope to see a game there. I've been there twice and both times I didn't get to see a game because of rain. The first time I went there, it was on Labor Day versus the Cards, so they kept delaying the game cause I guess they knew a lot of people wouldn't get a rain check. Meanwhile, me and my mom had to leave because we had to catch our train back to Pittsburgh. On the way to the station, we noticed it was clearing up. We later found out that the game began at 3:34. The exact moment our train was leaving the station.

Oh no! That's terrible. I bet you were pretty bummed out about it, I know I would have been. I really hope that you do get to see a game there one day. It's the only baseball stadium I have been to other than the Skydome in Toronto and it was so cool.
